The Sleights are a straight-shooting, high-energy punk rock band from Colorado Springs, CO. Often described as “piss and vinegar pop punk,” their sound is a raucous blend of 90s skate punk  and irresistibly catchy melodies. From sweat-soaked pits to singalong choruses that stick with you, The Sleights know how to hit hard and leave a mark.

Since forming, the four-piece has been steadily building momentum—touring the U.S., collaborating with Jen Razavi of The Bombpops, and writing the official anthem for their hometown soccer team, the Switchbacks FC. Their discography includes 2019’s Something Wasted This Way Comes, 2022’s It’s Not That Easy, and their most recent full-length, This One’s Gonna Hurt (April 2025).

The new record digs deeper, both sonically and emotionally. Beneath the hooks and the fast tempos are themes of depression, disillusionment, and local identity. Songs like “A Day in the Life” shine a light on Knob Hill—a working-class Colorado Springs neighborhood the band calls home—capturing a day-to-day grit that resonates with anyone who’s lived it.

With nonstop touring and more music on the way, The Sleights are proof that punk’s not dead—it’s just grown up a little angrier, a little wiser, and still loud as hell.
